Communication is the first priority.
Try to analyze the cause, debate it with the person with caution and understanding the person behavior [not to be upset].
Then conclude if it was something done by ignorance or in purpose.
Remember he/she is your boy/girl friend - not your fiancee or your spouse.
He or she owes you nothing
