You may think that Valentine’s Day is just another made up holiday on the calendar designed to make you spend money on gifts for the special someone in your life but Valentines Day is much older than that.

Saint Valentine's Day dates back to 270 A.D. and it was named after the patron saint of lovers

back in these days, love poems would be sent to celebrate and show love for one another.

Who know, maybe this is the reason why Valentine’s Day cards came into play in modern times.

So don't blame Valentines Day on hallmark or walmart.
