RE: Happy Valentines Day, I Have A Question!
Frankly, I have to bargain with or for many things in life.
Romantic relationship is not up for bargaining.
With me It is ALL or NOTHING.
My significant other is my Soul mate.
Every day is Valentine Day, even when we disagree, I normally leave him a note on the issue with specifics of my disagreement and gently asked him to think about it.
The next step is a low- key discussion about the problem; then we can agree or agree to disagree, but we do respect each other's opinion, and also the problem has to be discussed soon thereafter.
As for a Valentine celebration, he knows better than to arouse my anger by showering me with chocolate, flowers and favorite perfume -- which is so lame!!! Love me and respect me everyday - THIS IS MY VALENTINE CELEBRATION.
Now, WITHOUT everything that I just said, spending "Valentine Day" alone is so welcoming.
